It was announced today that Ray Allen will be (rightly) taking over Jameer Nelson's spot on the All-Star reserve list, after Nelson injured his shoulder in a game a few days ago. This marks Allen's 9th All-Star selection. He may have tipped the scales in his favor in Tuesday night's game against the Sixers, in which he took over the fourth quarter, hitting the game-winning three pointer with 0.5 seconds left. The Celtics won by one point, 100-99.
Allen was a replacement last year as well and nearly won the All-Star MVP (he should have), losing out to LeBron James--even though Allen was the game's high scorer with 28 points, including a shooting clinic from beyond the arc.
Celtics vs. Lakers tonight at 8 on TNT!!!!!!
