U2 to Open 2009 Grammy Awards

U2 will be opening the Grammy Awards tonight on CBS at 8 with their new single "Get on Your Boots." Bono has been rumored to have ditched his sunglasses in place of....eyeliner. Now, before you judge, here's a pic of him with slightly more makeup on circa 1993:

It was basically his alter-ego named Macphisto that he'd put on during the European leg of their ZooTV Tour. That'd be the same tour in which Bono became his other alter-ego, The Fly (ya know...the one with the big shades and all leather? i.e. what he became now...)

So, now the eyeliner doesn't seem like a big deal now does it?? Either way, mixing it up is what the band's all about, so I say go with it Bono.
